Hutchison Ports YANTIAN marked a significant milestone with the ceremonial receipt of its first batch of automated equipment for the East Port Project. The Project consists of three new 200,000 tonne automated container berths with a shoreline measuring 1,470 metres, a water depth of 18 metres alongside, and a designed annual throughput of 3 million TEU. The newly delivered five double-trolley quay cranes and eight automated rail-mounted gantry cranes represent a major advancement in operational efficiency, sustainability, and smart port development.
Over 120 attendees participated the event, including representatives from various government units, shipping lines, crane manufacturers Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries (ZPMC) and SANY Marine Heavy Industry.
